Sales Consultant – Renewable Energy (External)


As a Sales Consultant – External in Renewable energy, your primary responsibility is to Identify new business and partnerships to sell the company’s renewable energy and electrical products in towns and regions where we don’t have presence. Extract more value from existing Megatech clients by adding more products to the basket that they get from Megatech. Focus on the industries such as Agriculture (farmers), Business Enterprises and Hospitality. Consult, and offer sound advice to these customers, providing exceptional levels of customer service enabling the company to grow in sales and profits.

  • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
  • Code B Driver’s license.
  • Tertiary education in engineering trade such as electrical, mechanical or similar.
  • Tertiary education in business administration, marketing, sales or related fields with experience in electrical/solar environment will also be considered.
  • Knowledge of electrical solar systems and products.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in electrical/solar sales, demonstrating the ability to meet or exceed sales.
  • Familiarity with the retail industry, including knowledge of market trends, key players, and competitive dynamics.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft office software.
  • Strong Numerical skills.
  • Strong operational skills.
  • Identify and nurture new renewable energy opportunities and customers for Megatech.
  • Travel plan to different areas/regions where MegaTech does not have an active presence.
  • Find New business opportunities in Hospitality, farmers/Agriculture and Business communities.
  • Ensure After Sales Support is carried out for new and existing Customers.
  • Actively manage accounts of new customers to ensure timely payments (debtors/accounts receivable) and quick resolution of payments issues.
  • Quick and accurate invoicing, accurate record keeping, filing of invoices, processing of returns.
  • Extract more value from existing clients by adding more MegaTech products into their baskets.
  • Be the middleman between Client and Technical Service Centre when warrantees are to be called.
  • Continuously market and increase awareness of Pupkewitz MegaTech.
  • Attend Expo’s/Conferences/Shows to network and increase MegaTech presence.
  • Inform Procurement to order and track product to meet deadlines and commitments.
  • Submit monthly travel plans and past travel reports.
  • Weekly/Monthly reporting on sales/pipeline where required.
  • Promotions – identify marketing strategies for RE in the branch. Run promotions ideas to Marketing team that can work in certain locations.
  • Awareness – market and increase awareness of Pupkewitz MegaTech Renewable Energy in the region.
