Cashier & Procurement Administrator

PURPOSE

The incumbent will be responsible for managing procurement and inventory processes while handling daily cash operations and customer transactions. This includes processing purchases, managing stock levels, and coordinating with suppliers and internal teams. Additionally, the incumbent will process cash payments, maintains accurate financial records, and supports general administrative tasks to ensure smooth branch operations and productivity.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration would serve as an added advantage.
  • One (1) years’ experience in warehouse admin and inventory management, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite.
  • Proficiency in inventory management.
  • General Electrical knowledge would serve as an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in using Kerridge ERP system would serve as an added advantage.
  • High level of accuracy
KEY RESULT AREAS
  • Reviewing, comparing, analysing, and approving products to be purchased.
  • Managing inventory and maintaining accurate purchase (by placing Purchase orders (IBTs) and Expense orders).
  • Assist other branches with IBT requests.
  • Arrange transport for stock to be picked up.
  • Assess the quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers (DC) and management to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
  • Coordinate with inventory team, management as required.
  • Capturing stock into the system (GRV).
  • Operate switchboard, and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
  • Operate cash register, process payments, and issue receipts accurately.
  • Count float to check for correctness.
  • Write out cash sales in manual invoice book if system is offline & transfer to the computer once online.
  • Banking and deposits.
  • Petty Cash processing and management.
  • Report PODs logger to ensure that all PODs are scanned.
  • Participate in bi-annual stock takes.
