Purpose

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented and organised Product Data Administrator to drive product-data purity and administrative processes within the procurement department. The successful candidate will be committed to maintaining accurate product information, supporting inventory optimisation, ensuring pricing accuracy and promoting standardised processes across all branches.

Requirements

  • Completed NSSCO/NSSCAS or Grade 12.
  • Certificate or diploma in administration or a similar qualification.
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a similar role will serve as an added advantage.
  • Prior experience in a procurement role will serve as an added advantage.
  • Strong numerical, analytical and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP/business management systems and Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Valid Code B Driver's Licence.

Key Result Areas

  • Drive processes and policies across all branches to ensure a uniform approach to administrative functions within the company.
  • Create new product codes across the company and maintain a set standard in product descriptions.
  • Discontinue inactive product codes or codes requested by branches and/or procurement specialists.
  • Send complete product listings (T14 lists) to suppliers to maintain product purity and pricing as discrepancies are identified.
  • Assist the Inventory Cost Analyst and Branch Managers to ensure data purity in Netstock is up to standard.
  • Send daily reports informing Branch Managers and procurement specialists of out-of-stock or potential out-of-stock items in their branches.
  • Discontinue inactive products and maintain Product Account Category (PAC) groups.
  • Load campaign prices on the system as agreed by Procurement Specialists, the Cost Analyst and Branch Managers.
  • Assist the Cost Analyst to populate mark-up changes in the system received from product owners, procurement specialists and branch managers.
